ABOUT EVE FAULKNER
According
to Eve Faulkner, founder of the House of Victorian Visions Bridal Museum, the mid to late 1800s was a
time when beauty and romance was absolute.
The
15-year speaker on Victorian weddings will delight you
with tales of romance, history, and chivalrous
courtship rituals no longer practiced. She shares her enthusiasm for the beauty and romance of the
period with several examples of period attire,
including portraits of the original bride in the
dress, an English bodice, veils, shoes, corsets, and
complete trousseau sets.
Ms.
Faulkner first became interested in the topic upon
moving into a beautiful Victorian home in Upland.
Since 1986, she has conducted over 700 weddings
at her home and opened the House of Victorian Visions Bridal Museum to all those interested in the romance
of Victorian age.
As a dealer in Victorian wedding memorabilia,
Ms. Faulkner has given over 100 lectures on the topic
over the last four years.
Lectures
include a display and discussion of costumes worn by
Victorian brides between the years of 1830 and 1901
and describe customs and traditions regarding the
Victorian wedding and the origins of these traditions.
She also relates anecdotes regarding courtship
customs that encompasses the personal history of Queen
Victoria.
Ms.
Faulkner can be contacted directly for lectures at victbrimus@aol.com.
It is a beautiful experience that touches the
romantic heart of everyone.
